Ministry Opportunities

Women’s Ministry ministers to the Elmwood Nursing Home monthly with a birthday party on the 4th Thursday, anyone wishing to participate, please contact Norma Knapp at 618.667.9475.

A group goes to Rosewood Nursing Home on the 2nd Wednesday’s of each month and plays Bingo, passes out stuffed animals for the winners, anyone wishing to participate please contact Leah Ross.

Threads of Life meets the third Thursday of each month to discuss project ideas and plan future events. We would love to hear about your ideas! Join us for this time of fellowship as we brainstorm new ideas! At the May meeting members will be finishing up some hats for chemo patients. Also, they will be starting some more baby items for the pregnancy center.

Is your spiritual gift encouragement? Do you like getting cards that make you feel good? If so, perhaps your place in ministry could be the card care team. We send out cards to the women in the church for their birthday, get well, encouragement, new baby, etc. If you find yourself smiling when you get a card, imagine what it would feel like knowing you brightened someone's day with sending a card. There are several openings for the card care team and for more info contact Sharon Theis, so we can get you started right away!

Do you enjoy making gift baskets to give as gifts when someone is sick or had surgery, etc. The team needs someone who can make gift baskets that are delivered to women who are in the hospital or home recovery. You may deliver the baskets yourself or form a team that can help with delivering baskets when completed. For more information, contact Sharon Theis. -Add Star Tree Ministry. Each year this ministry helps bring a little cheer to families needing a little extra help. This ministry nees help from cutting out the stars and adding the wishes, to collecting the gifts and organizing packages for pick up when completed.
